CDMAP-IT is a Wisconsin based company and your best source for inland lake maps.  Our products offer lake maps on cd-rom and the ability to search the entire state library of contour lake maps by lake name, county, fish types, public access and acreage size.  You can print your own detailed lake maps in addition to making annotations to customize your own maps.

This product is a must-have for fishermen and boaters…a great tool for grandfathers, fathers and sons to share and document their own secret fishing hot spots.  It is also an ideal application for real estate agents researching lakes for prospective buyers.

For the Fisherman:

CDMAP-IT developed a product that opens up a whole new approach to planning your fishing trip.  Before CDMAP-IT, the typical weekend warrior would plan a trip to an area, purchase a $7.00 map, go to the boat ramp and wait his turn to launch.  This approach is a reactive method of planning a fishing trip rather than a proactive method.  With CDMAP-IT, you can become more educated on fishing lakes in all areas around your vacation destination before even packing your car.  A better planned trip with alternative lake options can eliminate strews for those weekend get-aways.  To plan you trip, first decide on the county you plan on exploring.  Next, search the DC for all of the lakes in that county.  You can then narrow that search for a specific fish species that you want to target for the day.  Sort the database by county and fish type to find the lakes that are known for that fish species in the desired county.  Next, view the lake images from the screen to narrow in on the size and type of lake you want to fish, paying special attention to the public access types available.  After narrowing in on a few good looking lakes, you can print your target lake along with a few backup lakes in case your primary lake choice is experiencing an allege bloom, lake turnover or the fish just aren’t biting.  Following these steps gives you the ability to try a new area with little effort at making an educated alternative.  If your outing is a good one, mark up your printed map with GPS waypoints and successful presentation methods, then take your notes back with you to transfer your information to your electronic map.  Print this updated map or save it to disc to give to a friend.  You are on your way to creating your own electronic fishing diary.

For the Boater:

Over 1,000,000 boaters travel into Wisconsin during the summer months.  That equates to an average of approximately 300 boaters on each of the top 140 lakes per weekend day.  Add to that the growing popularity of wave runners you see zipping around lakes.  CDMAP-IT offers you an alternative to the top 140 lakes.  You can search the database for alternative lakes that are located in the county you will be visiting.

For the Realtor:

The professional realtor can now research lakes within a specific county for your prospective buyers.  Narrow your search to lakes over a specific size or those that are known for a specific fish type.  Print the lakes for your clients to review.  Your clients will appreciate the personal touch you will be able to provide in their real estate search!
